Yeah,
we know that reading an instructions page isn’t the most thrilling thing in the world.
But listen up, because if you don’t use this feature as intended, you’ll lose access to it.
You’ve been warned.
So. In the event that you made a mistake when logging a bet, or your bookmaker retroactively changed things on you,
you’ll have 48 hours after the end of the match to modify your logged bet in different ways:
1) Edit your bet:
You have access to 3 corrections:
- The odds of your selection
- The stake you wagered
- The bookmaker’s policy to declare the match as won/lost/void.
1.1) Edit the odds
If you logged the odds you bet at incorrectly, or the bookmaker “adjusted” them afterward, you can edit them in your personal history.
1.2) Edit the stake amount
Sweet and simple.
If you made a mistake with the stake amount, either when you placed your bet or when you logged it on WO, you can edit it to match the real amount you wagered.
1.3) Edit bookmaker policy
If it just so happens that the match doesn’t end until the very last point,
bookmakers can apply different rules to pick a winner or void the match.
The different policies for tennis games are:
–Point: If at least one point has been played in the match, it will be resolved no matter what. Occasionally, certain bookmakers, like bet365, and only in certain competitions, will pay you if your opponent withdraws.
–Game: At least one full game needs to be played for the match to be resolved. Otherwise, the bet is refunded.
–Set: At least one full set needs to be played for the match to be resolved. Otherwise, the bet is refunded.
–Match: The entirety of the match needs to be played for it to be resolved. Otherwise, the bet is refunded.
–Void bet: The bet is refunded for a variety of possible reasons, such as the bookmaker claiming that the bet was placed at “misplaced” odds.
As a general rule, WinnerOdds will apply the correct policy to most monitored bookmakers.
However, you may have placed the bet at an unmonitored bookmaker, so you can select the correct policy whenever it differs with what WinnerOdds displays.
2) “Delete bet” option
If your bet was cancelled, rejected, or a mistake, you have the possibility to delete it.
